The Munchie Station | Our Story
Made in Dorchester. Loved by Boston.
A takeout window on Dorchester Ave that became the city's most-talked-about sandwich spot. This is how it happened.
A takeout window on Dorchester Ave
No seats, no frills — just a hot griddle and one bold claim. 996 Dorchester Ave, Savin Hill became the address the city started driving across town to find.
The sandwich that started everything
The chopped cheese is a New York bodega classic — ground beef, melted cheese, onions, all chopped hot on the griddle. We brought it to Boston and let the neighborhood decide. They decided fast.
TikTok showed up, then Boston Magazine
Word spread through group chats and TikTok videos, then Boston Magazine named us one of the city's best new restaurants in October 2024. None of it was paid for. All of it was earned.
Feeding the 617 one event at a time
We rolled the food truck into the Boston Freedom Rally 2025 and the line didn't stop. From UMass students to Moakley Park regulars — this spot belongs to the neighborhood.
Great food, no white tablecloths
We're takeout only, and that's the point. The 617 deserves food this good, made this fresh, at a price that doesn't make you think twice.
